In the centenary of Dylan Thomas’ birth the 17th annual Dylan Thomas Festival will feature an eclectic mix of events and very special guests.

Thanks to funding of £935,700 from the Heritage Lottery Fund, we’ll be opening our new, refurbished and expanded ‘Love The Words’ Dylan Thomas exhibition. You can now see even more unique items and memorabilia, which were previously archived, from the life of Swansea’s most famous son. Plus, we now have an exciting  new programme of family and community activity.

There will be lots of great events including talks, workshops, exhibitions and performances – including Bob Kingdom’s acclaimed Return Journey, events focusing on war poetry, to mark the centenary of WW1, a launch of a new edition of Dylan Thomas’ Collected Poems with John Goodby and a night of Dylan Thomas-inspired Burlesque from Bluestocking Lounge.

Paul Henry curates an event in which four poets share their favourite Dylan Thomas poems and you can catch an afternoon launch of Little Man, Richard Jones’ debut collection.

Hilly Janes also talks on ‘Swansea’s Brush With Brilliance’.
