Ronald CourRonald Cour - 1914 – 1978
The painter, sculptor and teacher Ronald Cour was another of Dylan's talented contemporaries. He participated in many group exhibitions, including the Welsh Group of which he was chairman (1965-78), in the In 1947 he was first appointed to the sculpture department at Swansea College of Art where he taught modelling, carving and related subjects. He exhibited in the Vernon Watkins, who worked with him on the project, wrote two lyric poems, 'At Cwmrhydyceirw Quarry' and 'Cwmrhydyceirw Elegaics', to commemorate the occasion. |
