\u2018When he was very small I used to say to his daddy: \u201cOh, Daddy, don\u2019t read Shakespeare to a child only four years of age.\u201d And he used to say: \u201cHe\u2019ll understand it. It\u2019ll be just the same as if I were reading ordinary things.\u201d So he was brought up on Shakespeare.\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mae Dylan a\u2019i dad yn cael eu cofio am eu darlleniadau o waith Shakespeare yn Ysgol Gramadeg Abertawe. Dywedodd Trevor Hughes am ei ffrind Dylan: \u2018He used to recite Shakespeare to the class, and he\u2019d walk up and down the room reciting. You could tell he wasn\u2019t there \u2013 he was on a stage somewhere. And he put so much feeling, so much expression into it\u2019.<\/p>\n

Last week it was Titus Andronicus, which I\u2019d never read and probably never will read again, – but it was great fun to do\u2026.. And for the Shakespeare series I mentioned, I\u2019m arranging the programme on \u2018Merchant of Venice\u2019.<\/p>\n
